Dear Membership,
We are pleased to report that the Tribe has received a Tribal Nutrition Assistance Program Grant (TNAP), funded by the California Department of Social Services CalFresh program (CalFresh). The Tribe will administer the TNAP grant funds by purchasing food gift cards from local grocery stores on a quarterly basis and distribute the gift cards to tribal members living in the four-county service area that qualify.
Eligibility Criteria for TNAP through this Program are as follows:
Applicants must:
- Be an enrolled member of the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians of Stewarts Point Rancheria
- Must submit proof of address,
- Must reside in the tribes four county service area of Lake, Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma counties
- Must meet the poverty income level.
Eligible applicants will be on a first come, first served basis, and will be subject to funding availability, with preference given to tribal elders and seniors. The Kashia Band of Pomo Indians classify a “Senior” as a person in the Tribe whose age is 55 or older.
Requested Documentation:
- Application to include the Tribal Member’s Name, Phone Number, Address.
- Copy of your CDL, CID, most recent utility bill, or a copy of a housing agreement (as a renter or sublease) that documents the Tribal Member applicant’s place of residency.
